I'm not a big fan of short stories, but I have enjoyed Jae's work thus far and found myself curious after reading the blurb, so what's a girl to do, but give it a read? Good price, good author, quick read...I say go for it. At first it had me wrinkling my nose at the direction it seemed to be heading, but as usual, Jae slipped in her little twist and the story was off and rolling. Not my favorite short story by Jae, but I definitely enjoyed this short story more than the expanded novel. Overall, I think this story would've been better if it remained a short story rather than developed into a novel.
I want to read the next in line for this couple, Departure From The Script.
They meet at an unvalentine party after the one had a bad date and they click. But the actress doesn't date butches and te butch doesn't date actresses - time to depart from the script!
Anyone who has been out for a night on the booze and woken up in an unfamiliar environment and huge blanks from the night before will find themselves able to relate to Amanda's predicament.
I thought Michelle was great and Amanda was lucky the woman had her back when her faculties had abandoned her.
Very cute story about how Valentine’s Day is so over rated and how everyone thinks lesbians fall for other lesbians just because they are lesbians.
Okay first of all hecka good! Second, the book is only 45 pages, what’s up Jae? I mean it’s so good I want to read more! lol
Oh well.
I would recommend this for someone who likes to read but doesn’t have the time to read a full novel.
Such an adorable short story! It's hard to find decent lesbian romance without it being turned into a porno, but this one was so cute and sweet. I want longer stories from this author!
Oh, this is a huge tease but a well written one. This Valentines Day short is really a cute pre equal to Jae's Going Off Script.
It is really charming with all sorts of funny touches that will make you want to go out and get Michelle's and Amanda's love story of when you find not your type.
